Terms of Service
These terms apply when you play Rat vs Chef ("the game"). By playing you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not play.
Your licence to play
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to play the game for your own entertainment. The game, its art, music, characters and code belong to us or our licensors. Do not copy, resell, reverse-engineer, cheat in, or interfere with the game or its servers.
Coins, diamonds and outfits
- Coins are earned by playing and cannot be bought or exchanged.
- Diamonds are bought through Google Play or the App Store and are spent on premium outfits. Diamonds, coins and outfits are a licence to use content in the game; they have no cash value and cannot be sold, transferred or exchanged for money.
- Purchases are processed by Google Play or Apple under their terms. Refunds are handled under the store's refund policy and any rights you have under applicable law. If a purchase is refunded, the diamonds it gave may be removed.
- Keep your wallet recovery code private and safe. It is the only way to restore your diamonds and premium outfits on another device, and we cannot recover a wallet without it.
Online play
Be kind. Rat names must not be rude, offensive, hateful, sexual, threatening or about drugs, must not impersonate someone else or our staff, and must not contain personal information such as a real name, address, school, phone number or a username from another app. The game asks you to agree to these name rules before you type a name.
You can report or block any other rat's name from the online lobby. A name that players report is replaced with a random rat name, and we review reported names and may refuse them in future. We may remove names, end sessions or block access for anyone who breaks these rules or disrupts other players. Online features need an internet connection and may be unavailable at times.
Changes to the game
We may update, change or discontinue features, levels, items or online services. We will try to give notice before switching off anything you have paid for, unless that is not reasonably possible.
No warranty
The game is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it fun and running, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page with its effective date. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the updated terms.
